Potassium Dideuterium Phosphate (DKDP) are among the most widely-used commercial NLO materials, characterized by good UV transmission, high damage threshold, and high birefringence, though their NLO coefficients are relatively low. They are usually used for doubling, tripling or quadrupling of a Nd:YAG laser (at constant temperature). With excellent optical homogeneity and high E-O coefficients, DKDP crystals are also widely used in E-O modulators, Q-switches, etc. LASERTEC provides bulk supply of high quality DKDP crystals in diverse sizes for the above applications, as well as custom-made services of crystal select, design and processing.
Application of DKDP Series Pockels Cell
With excellent physical and optical property, DKDP series Pockels cells are widely used in laser systems with large caliber, high power and narrow pulse width. They are among the optimal E-O Q-switches used in pulse laser systems, including: OEM laser systems; Medical/cosmetic lasers; Versatile R&D laser platforms; Military & aerospace laser systems.
